Kim Schlauch
I created this necklace, titled "Making Connections,"
in Connie's cold connections class at Beadfest Wire in PA. It
includes a sampling of the various techniques introduced in the
class, including bolts, wire rivets, split tube rivets, and telescoping
tube rivets. Than you Connie, for your expertise, support and
encouragement!. Email

Judith Moore
Muse Nautique is a result of attending many of Connie's classes
over a period of several years. For me, Connie's design class
was my road map to higher levels of creativity and understanding.
Muse Nautique is 100% bronze. I used a rubber stamp for the patterns
on bronze clay. The large circular rings are hand-formed bronze
clay linked together with handmade bronze wire jump rings. After
firing, I further enhanced the color with a torch. Muse Nautique
received a Blue Ribbon in competition at the Del Mar Fair, San
Diego, 2009. Email Judith |

Ronna Del Valle
This piece started with a sheet of copper that was textured using
assorted hammers and then torched to achieve color variations. The next
step was to cut out the desired shape for the jewelry with a saw and
then file until smooth. Next I punched different size holes in the
piece and attached one piece of annodized aluminum that had previously
been colored with Sharpies to the back using cold connections so that
the color shows through the holes. Finally an aluminum disc was shaped
into a saucer shape and attached with a cold connection and color
washers were adding with brass bolts. Holes were punch to add jump
rings for the chain. Email Ronna |
