Solveig Gillis
I live in Australia, so have not managed to get to any classes
with Connie yet. However, I have her Design Fundamentals for
Wire Jewelry CD which has been inspirational!
The wonderful lampwork beads in this bracelet are by Kimmyg
from Northcoast beadmakers. The other beads and wire are copper
and I have also used copper wire and artistic wire twisted together,
to complement the colours of the beads. Email

Had my class with Connie at Beadfest a few years ago and enjoyed
it immensely. Here is one of the bracelets I've done since then
- I love the technique that she taught !!!! Email

I had the great fortune of being able to spend three full
days in class with Connie at the Jewelry Arts Fest and finished
my turquoise free form cuff the day after class. I immediately
started another with amethyst and pearls. Although they are quite
labor intensive, the results are incredible! They feel great
on the wrist and the compliments come non-stop. Working with
Connie was equally fantastic - she has been such an inspiration.
Everything I learned from her in those three days has moved me
forward in both skill and creativity. I'm looking forward to
doing more classes with her in the coming years. Email

I'm sending a photo of a very popular bracelet I made a while
ago, when I was starting to learn some wirework techniques, with
some lovely bright lampwork beads and the help of Connie's bangle
bracelet tutorial in Lapidary Journal. I called it my "Circus
Brangle." It was so nice as a relative beginner to find
good clear instructions, and to come up with a piece that looked
good. Thanks so much, Connie! Email

Lei Anna Bettencourt
This bracelet was made from 22ga sterling silver which was
texturized, shaped and smaller sterling pieces added to the larger
by fusing. Some soldering was needed on the toggle and a few
of the wire pieces. 24K gold foil was also applied (keum boo)
and then the pieces were oxidized with liver of sulfur and coffee
to bring out the beautiful colors from the silver. This class
(bewitching bracelets) was certainly 'bewitching' and I loved
it. Thanks Connie for your generosity. Email
