I made this necklace from sterling silver,
copper, and bronze wire. (I prefer bronze over brass because
its, well, less brassy.) I chose rainforest jasper and
green garnets as the anchor stones since they each contain a
variety of colors to match with the different wires.

Honorable Mention

My bracelet was inspired from Connie's Homage
Bracelet class. Ganesh is a well known deity that is widely revered
as the Remover of Obstacles. I used 20g sheet metal, which I
texturized with a rolling mill. The anodized aluminum was dyed,
stamped, cut then put into place with tube rivets. Brass bolts
were used also as a cold connection for the aluminum and the
center piece. I used 8mm jump rings to put together.

A Sterling Silver Cuff formed from Sterling
Sheet, Sterling Teardrop shapes (shapes were purchased), and
Copper Wire. The Cuff was textured and formed; the Teardrops
were each imprinted with different designs by various forms (stamping,
texturing, etc.), then formed to match the cuff; the components
were drilled and riveted with copper wire. The piece was polished,
oxidized, then tumbled for finishing. It was my first experience
riveting on a curve, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process.

With the exception of the spacer bead, I have
hand made all pieces shown here (lampworked beads, free form
wire pieces, jumprings, clasp, and headpin). I made the free
form wire pieces out of gold filled wire. They have been connected
with sterling silver jump rings. The clasp is also made of gold
filled wire and was designed to blend in with the piece. Can
you find it? To continue with the mixed metals theme and to inlcude
a bit of color, the bottom lampworked bead is made with fine
silver foil encased in transparent light teal.
