Cold Connections for Red Hot Mamas - Day Two (Sunday, October 12, 2008) - Ohio Class

Examples of jewelry using the connections covered in Day One and Two.

This class will focus on using cold connections to join metals together and to embellish your metal components. You can effectively use these skills to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Not only do cold connections offer you an alternative to soldering, they are decorative in their own right.

On Day Two we will cover these topics:

Tube rivets
Split tube rivets
Telescoping tube rivets
Tabs
Sliding rivets
Connectors in the marketplace

The jewelry pieces shown above are samples of what you can do with cold connections. Depending on the complexity of the design you select, you may or may not be able to complete a project in class. It is my intention that you will know how to make all of the above connections by the end of the Day One class.

You will also learn to saw, file, and drill - all important skills for red hot mamas.

Please note: You do not have to sign up for Cold Joints for Red Hot Mamas - Day One in order to take this class.

Please note:
If you wish to purchase one or more of the above items, please place your order at least 2 weeks prior to the class. www.conniefox.com. Because many of the items are heavy, it is very difficult for me to bring them with me.

Please note: I recommend you pre-make 16 jump rings if you plan to make a necklace or bracelet; use your judgment about the size.
